Campbell High cheerleaders win national competition

Cheerleading squads from Campbell High School took top honors at the Gator Bowl Cheer and Dance National Competition in Jacksonville, Florida, over the New Year's Eve holiday.

Campbell's varsity cheerleading squad took first place, while its junior varsity team came in second. The cheerleaders also brought home awards for "Best Choreography" and "Most Spirited."

The win included the opportunity to perform in the Gator Bowl Halftime Show.
